We really really really want to see you, so if the coffee and goodies and our good humor doesn’t draw you in, maybe some prizes will?!

We’ll be giving away a Happily Ever After Session to one lucky winner (see blog post below for details about the session), as well as special gifts to current and past clients who stop in. Also, (pay attention…this is a good one….) anyone who contracts a Family, Lifestyle, Love, Senior or Child/baby session (Saturday only) at our discounted open house price of $150 will receive a free 16″ x 20″ gallery wrapped canvas.

Ok, so, everybody knows the party is over after the the big wedding day. Or is it? Truth be told, many moms will say that things only got better after the wedding, especially when children enter the picture. Kimberly and I often find ourselves telling people that we were so clueless before we had kids. Having kids completed who we are as a couple and to think back John and Kim Before Kids (BK) is almost silly. So if life gets better, more fun after the wedding why is there no party? No fuss? No dresses, no flowers, what happened to the “bride”? Did she exist only for one day, only to wake up the next day right to be back to her original self?

The truth is, that bride is still there. She’s not hiding, people still adore her but you just can’t have a wedding everyday, can you? Enter: Your “Happily Ever After” Session. A session we created to bring that bride back out into the open, fuss over her a bit, give her flowers, put her in a dress, and capture what everybody had hoped on her wedding day, that she would live happily ever after as a beautiful and loved bride.

For these sessions we do a lot of planning, much like a wedding. Anything (or any idea) goes. Our new stylist will help you find the right outfits, makeup and props. We work together to create a theme/concept and a location for the shoot. When it all comes together we take pictures of every family member and every loving combo possible, in a style that represents who your family is and captures the heart of who you have become. An emphasis is also made in capturing photos of how it all get started, love between the bride and groom. These pictures will be completely unique, it not just a cookie cutter photography session.

Some ideas to think about are: Sports family, Road trip, Date Night, Musical, or whatever brings your family together.

The sessions below had two different concepts. The first session is fashionable session with the idea of giving Mommy some gifts and making her feel special. The 2nd session we planned with a Vintage theme. I hope you enjoy them.

If you would like to learn more about these types of sessions please contact us to set up a meeting or phonecall!

Meet the Foura Family. A loving family with what could be the most adorable little boy ever. They asked me to come to their beautiful house and capture some everyday moments, get some pictures of their lifestyle, stuff that would help them remember what life was like when their cutie pie son was this age. I love these sessions. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Ok, so we have been horrible bloggers. Truth is, we’re working our hineys off just trying to edit images and run this lovely wedding photography business we have going on. So, we headed to Colorado yesterday for a few weeks of editing and guess what? Blogging. Yes!! We want to post lots of weddings on our blog in the coming weeks so stay tuned. We are going to be calling these our “snippets” since time is of the essence and we don’t want to end up like last year where we didn’t blog many of our cool weddings due to time issues…our solution…snippets. Hopefully everyone will agree that snippets are better than no snippets at all.

To kick this off we will start with Kelly and Trevor, two wonderful clients lovingly referred to us by our lovely friends Lindsay and Josh whose wedding we photographed in 2006.

Every couple is different. Kelly and Trevor stood out to us for a few specific reasons…1) It was obvious they were head over heels in love with each other. 2) It was also obvious how much they were adored by their friends and family. The toasts rocked our socks off. 3) This couple had much joy in life…it enveloped them and showed in every photo. We LOVE that.

We’ll let the photos tell you the rest of the story:

….and they lived happily ever after.
