Ashley and Sam were married on November 4th, with a ceremony and reception at the Cameron Estate Inn.
Sam and Ashley met while they were working at a music conference together in downtown Lancaster, and they have filled their days together with adventure! They love to take their dog on runs and hikes, and they are constantly dreaming up their next big thing—whether it’s a trip or a new recipe to try.
My second shooter, Kim, and I arrived on the day of the wedding as everyone was getting ready, and I was particularly touched seeing the close and wonderful relationship Ashley has with her parents. Ashley’s mother passed down a pair of earrings to wear for the wedding so that she could have that personal touch to her day.
During the ceremony, Ashley and Sam’s hands were tied with the reverend’s sash to symbolize their unity before they were officially married as husband and wife—and it was off to the party!
I loved the nods to Ashley’s Polish heritage during the reception. Her aunt sang a traditional song while she placed a hat on Ashley’s and Sam’s heads. And the Polish apron dance was spectacular to witness! The energy of the whole day was amazing, with smiles all day long. It’s always fun to photograph people like this.
Additionally, Ashley and Sam had a “memory table” set up to honor their family members who had passed away. Ashley’s uncle and grandmother had both passed away unexpectedly in the past few months, and at one of the tables, there was a Garfield stuffed animal to remember her uncle.
Thank you, Sam & Ashley, for letting us be part of our celebration. We truly enjoyed ourselves being surrounded by such wonderful people!
