Becky and Kenji were married on September 9th, with a ceremony and reception at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City.
We always love seeing former clients of ours, and that was the case with this wedding, times two! Meagan, the matron of honor, was a former bride of ours, and she attended with her husband, Shane. The brother of the groom and best man, Toshi, was also there with his wife, Connie. With Becky and Kenji there as well, we had three sets of Sanderson Images clients all having a blast together!
John was the only photographer for this event and was switching between the couple as they got ready, and following the important people and events. Becky had a beautiful blush-covered gown that Kenji described as a glass of champagne, while Kenji wore a Spanish Blue herringbone suit. Becky had a amazing and meaningful first look with her father, though she and Benji had decided to wait until the ceremony to see each other.
The ceremony itself was short and sweet and was performed by Kenji’s grandfather, a Methodist minister. Then, it was off to the party for the reception!
It was so fun to see Kenji with his wrestling friends. He used to wrestle in college and even placed 7th at the national Greco-Roman tournament. The group of them had a great rapport! I also loved watching Becky and Kenji with their nephews—both of whom are under 1 year old. We made sure to capture those special moments with their entire family.
Thanks, Kenji and Becky, for letting me be part of your memorable day! I hope that the two of you had a blast in Spain for your Mediterranean Island honeymoon!
