Weddings: The Desmond Hotel, Malvern, PA

I have the distinct pleasure of being friends with Jess and Tom.  I first met them through a mutual BFF and the first thing I excitedly screamed at them when we finally met went something like this:  OMG YOUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION PHOTOS ARE PERFECT AREN’T JOHN AND KIM SO FUN TO WORK WITH?!  After they got over their stunned silence from my outburst we became fast friends (it helped that we were singing karaoke while wearing glow sticks) and even though I had seen a few of their photos on Facebook from their big day, combing through the photos of their beautiful ceremony, the gorgeous details of their reception and the snowy, loving husband and wife portraits my heart was full of joy to see their big day!  Man, I love weddings.

I adore this shot of Tom and his groomsmen.  Tom and Jess are very devoted friends to the people in their lives and it’s amazing to see friends who are reciprocally supportive and loving.

I had a hard time picking a few family photos (rather than 100 I flagged when I initially looked through the set).  Tom and Jess are obviously in love with their families.  From the bride:

My family and close friends are the most important thing in the world to me. My sister says I have FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), and it’s true when it comes to those I love most – I don’t like missing out on fun with loved ones!

These next two pictures melted my heart.  Said Jess of both Mom and Dad escorting her down the aisle:

I’m also excited to have both of my parents walk me down the aisle. For us, our ideal wedding is FUN! and means being surrounded by all the people we love so much!

Hooray!!  I DO!!  Well, they do.  You get it.

These group photos pretty much made my life.  I really wish everyone would be photographed in a barn by John and Kim.

Talk about keepsake portraits!  How Tom and Jess narrowed down which shots to put in an album will be forever beyond me.  vintage photo of a bride and groom in the American Gothic pose in a barn near Malvern, PA Bride and groom portraits in a barn in Lancaster, PA Landscape photo of a Bride and groom posing below a single tree torso shot of a bride and groom in a garage with vintage items on the shelf next to them All white flower boquet of Peonies by Blue Moon florist in Malvern, PA

Let’s get this party started, shall we? Event photos at The Desmond Hotel ballroom, ready for an reception event inMalvern, PA

Tom and Jess wanted their whole day to be about love, their family and friends.  I think these reception photos really captured that they in fact achieved their wedding day goal.  From Jess:

I don’t know that there will be too much that differentiates [our wedding] from many other weddings, but we know that it’ll be our favorite wedding because we’ll be surrounded by those we know and love – for us, besides marrying each other, that’s what we’re most excited about.

I think it’s safe to say that these people you love most had an awesome time.  To wit:
