This is fun. One of the worlds greatest wedding photographers of all time David Beckstead has accepted two of our photos to his "Admired by Beckstead" web site. This is a world renowned web site which is followed by many photographers, to have two of our photos chosen by such an amazing photographer as examples of work he admires is such an honor. It proves that we all inspire each other! I also take it as in indicator that we are on track and producing original artwork that is one of a kind. Thanks David!

I am going to start our new blog design out with a major bang. I can't say enough about this couple. Kimberly and I had an unbelievable time at an unbelievable event. Hilary and Matthew have easily become good friends and continue to be a blessing to us everyday. Even though this wedding took place in August.. we still feel like this one just happened. You heard me. Free. Ok here is the deal. I have only booked 1 date in July, 07-07-07. Something about my web site must say "July is not my best month". So the rest of the July it looks like a I get a little vacation. It will be much needed because all other months are INSANE and I will be really tired of white dresses and black tuxes. So, during my little sabbatical I want to photograph something different, refresh my mind and inspire myself for the fall and all my wonderful fall clients.

So here are the necessary ingredents.

1. Two lovely people.. In love.
2. A theme, think of anything.. examples; Vintage, Classical, Old Money, Hippie, Travelers, Muscle car, Cyndi Lauper, mystical fog people of the Asian Bamboo Woodland, water people of the inland cristal springs, etc..
3. BEAUTIFUL outfits, props, locations.
4. A day in July 2007
5. Me and Kimberly.

All you have to do is send in a photo of the couple to be photographed and your "theme" including a description of the outfits and props.

Winner/winners gets a 2-3 hour portrait session. 8x10 print. A complete set of 3x5 prints.

The countdown begins.

Now is the best time to book a photographer. Between January 15th and mid march a flash flood of brides begin to book vendors and most are willing to do anything to book peak dates. If you are planning a Saturday wedding for summer 2007 and you want a good photographer, now is the time to get serious otherwise you will face stiff competition. Like most people we book clients 1st come 1st serve and we only take one client per day.

First and Second place awards!

Today we received notification that we had won First and Second prize in the Charlottesville Albermarle County "Show us your C'ville" Photography contest! It's so funny how things like this can happen. I was Photographing Lindsay and Josh on the Down Town Mall in Charlottesville and in the middle of an exposure a nice man stops by to tell me that I should enter a photo into this photo contest. Little did we know that the photograph I was taking at that moment would come to be one of the winning photos in the contest! How crazy is that! Anyway, we are very excited about this and we just wanted to share it with you. Oh yeah and Thanks to Josh and Lindsay who so willingly listened to my ideas on the DTM that day.
